How Does Invisalign® Work?

The Invisalign system is the virtually invisible way to straighten your teeth and achieve the smile you’ve always wanted. Invisalign uses advanced iTero® impressionless 3D computer imaging technology to depict your complete treatment plan, from the initial position of your teeth to the final desired position. No more goopy impressions!

Then a series of clear aligners are custom-made for your teeth — and your teeth only — to move them little by little. Each aligner is worn for about two weeks before being replaced by the next in the series until the final position of your teeth is achieved. You’ll visit us about once every six weeks to ensure your treatment is progressing as planned. Total treatment time averages 9 to 15 months and the typical number of aligners created is between 18 and 30, but both will vary from case to case.

Treatment time for Invisalign can be decreased by up to 50% when paired with AcceleDent®. Simply use this cutting-edge device for 20 minutes a day to speed up tooth movement and achieve your perfect smile in a fraction of the time! Ask for more details at your complimentary assessment.

Your Invisalign treatment time will be determined by our orthodontic team based on your specific needs, but once you finish treatment, you’ll have the smile you’ve been dreaming of!

Dr. Chung and Dr. Epshteyn have had the distinct pleasure of being Invisalign Providers for over 20 years. This means that our team has seen a wide variety of orthodontic cases and his experience benefits you by providing you with the best, most effective treatment.

What Are the Primary Benefits of Invisalign?

Comfort & Convenience

Woman Smiling Holding InvisalignInvisalign aligners are clear, which makes Invisalign a seamless fit with your lifestyle and day-to-day interactions with others. Invisalign aligners are also removable. Unlike braces, you have the flexibility to eat and drink what you want during treatment simply by removing the aligners when you eat.

You can also remove the aligners to brush and floss as you normally would for fresh breath and good oral hygiene. Unlike traditional metal braces, Invisalign treatment does not use metal brackets or wires that could cause irritation to your mouth.

Overall Less Treatment Time

You’ll visit us about once every six weeks to ensure your treatment is progressing as planned. As we’ve mentioned, the use of AcceleDent will ensure faster treatment. Patients often experience less time in our office while on Invisalign compared to braces.

Advanced Technology

Invisalign uses the latest technology beginning with our iTero impressionless scanner which takes high-quality digital images of your teeth. No more goopy impressions! Invisalign’s technology also allows you to view your virtual results and treatment plan before you start your treatment, so you can preview how your straight teeth will look once your treatment is complete.

How Many Patients Are in Invisalign Treatment?

More than 12,000,000 patients worldwide have been treated with Invisalign. The number of Invisalign smiles grows daily. At your next appointment, we can answer any questions you might have, and get you started on the smile you’ve always wanted.

Dental Monitoring

Dental MonitoringOur team at Smile Solutions Orthodontics is proud to offer Dental Monitoring, which is a cutting-edge mobile technology that enables us to track a patient’s progress in real-time through technology based on tools such as 3D modeling, smartphone apps, and tracking technology.

This allows our practice to monitor your Invisalign treatment remotely by comparing it with your initial orthodontic treatment plan, and it warns us of changing conditions as they occur. If something needs to be addressed, it will be identified sooner because of the real-time monitoring program. Ask for more details at your initial appointment!
